Dove India’s #RebornStronger Campaign getting it right
Dove India started the #rebornstronger campaign couple of months ago across social media platforms to promote their bond strength damage repair hair care range. What caught my attention was the variety of ideas that were brought to life for the campaign. The main theme lent itself organically to human stories of being reborn stronger - after all nearly every one of us has had a moment or a feeling of being reborn in their life after trials and tough times.
Building on this premise, the brand started with asking for Reborn Stronger stories from people at large which then morphed into the Dove Reborn Stronger Podcast with episodes available on YouTube and Spotify. It’s interesting to see the mix of women who define resilience that Dove has brought together for the podcast to share stories about their life journey, lessons and rediscovering strength. They’ve also dropped a teaser of ‘The Reborn Anthem’ and are executing Dove #RebornontheGo pop-ups for outdoor activation.
It’s always good to see B2C brands trying different formats, building a surround approach to marketing and amplifying real life stories to build community engagement centered on positivity and hope – we know we need more of it.
One quibble – why is the Instagram username Dove India Channel and not just Dove India?
